Welcome back to Intown!

On-site Worship

Intown Community Church re-opened for on-site worship on Sunday, July 12, 2020.  While it's wonderful to gather together again in worship, we understand the importance of following recommended guidelines for mitigating risk associated with the spread of COVID-19.  We believe that this is part of our calling to love one another, so we have put some safety measures into place that everyone will be required to follow when participating in on-site worship. Everyone is welcome, but seating is very limited so reservations are required (see below). Rest assured that we are continuing to monitor developments with COVID-19 and are committed to following recommendations of local, state, and national officials. Any updates will posted here.

Reservations

Reservations are required for on-site worship and are opened each Monday morning for the following Sunday.  If families or groups would like to sit together, only ONE person should make the reservation for the group.  Once your reservation has been received, we will follow up to confirm with you.  If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, please contact paula@intown.org and let her know so that we can make those spaces available to others who are on the waiting list.

Thank you.  We look forward to worshipping together with you!

What to expect

  • The service will take place at 10:45 a.m. Because we will be doing temperature checks at the door, we ask that everyone arrive  early so there is ample time to accomplish this.

  • Parties (whether individuals who wish to sit alone, friends who desire to worship together, or families) will be seated at least 6 ft. apart in the sanctuary. Everyone is asked to keep a distance of 6ft from anyone who is not a member of their party throughout their time in the building, not just in the sanctuary.

  • Given special concerns around singing, those worshipping on-site will be asked to sing a limited number of songs, in a soft voice, with face masks on. Those worshipping virtually will be able to participate in singing as usual.

  • The service will be live-streamed for those who need to join virtually, and it will be recorded for viewing later.

Requirements during your visit

Let's love each other well.

Jesus calls us to love each other, and one way in which we do that is to care for each other's needs as we would our own.  In this spirit, we ask that everyone who participates in on-site worship abide by these guidelines not only to protect themselves but to protect others also.

  • Stay home if you are sick

If you have a fever of 100 F or greater or are experiencing any symptoms, please stay home.  We will be doing temperature checks for everyone who enters the building in an effort to mitigate this risk.

  • Social distance at least 6 feet apart

While you are allowed to enter the building and sit together as a family or self-identified group, we ask that you remain 6 feet away from others at all times.

  • Wear a face mask

Adults and school-age children are required to wear a mask at all times when inside the building.

  • Wash your hands frequently

Bathrooms are equipped with filled soap dispensers and hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the accessible spaces. We request that you use them frequently to keep your hands clean.
