Children's Ministry

Children flourish when they both experience God’s love and grace now and are growing in their love for God and his world throughout their lives. Intown’s Children’s Ministries exist to help the whole church – parents, friends, neighbors, and peers – join our children on this journey, delighting in who he has made them to be and looking forward to who they are becoming.

Resources for parents during social distancing

These are trying times for all of us, including our children.  Listening to uplifting music  and messages is a great way to help your children cope with the new normal and to grow in their love and trust God. Here are a couple of links to songs and devotionals that we hope you and your children will enjoy.

Sunday Mornings for Children at Intown

When you join us at Intown for Sunday mornings, we want you to feel comfortable and confident that your child(ren) will be well cared for while you are with us.  We are staffed with well-trained professionals and volunteers who offer loving care and teaching to all children from newborn to Grade 4.

A listing of the offerings for each level is listed below.

Nursery - Newborn through Pre-K

We provide care for children while their parents attend Sunday Morning Life Groups and worship. We want to love and serve our little ones in a tangible way that lays a foundation for knowing Jesus' love as they grow older.

  • Who: Newborn through Pre-K
  • When: 9:20 a.m.-12:10 p.m. on Sunday Mornings
  • Where: Lower level, access through the rear entrance of the church.
  • What: Music, toys, games, books, activities, playground time, and snacks.
  • Curriculum: We teach the "Gospel Project for Kids" to 3 & 4 year olds from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
  • Staff and Volunteers: Classes are taught by church-member volunteers and ages 0-2 are cared for by member volunteers and Nursery employees. All nursery employees have passed a background check.

Sunday School - K through 3rd Grade

Our teachers love to share God's story with children, as we learn together and meet in both large and small group settings.

Children's Worship

This is a place where young children can learn to worship by singing, praising, and learning about His story in an age-appropriate, interactive setting.

  • Who: Pre-K thru 3rd grade
  • When: 11:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Sunday mornings
  • Where: Children age K-3rd go to the sanctuary with parents and are dismissed during the Passing of the Peace (around 11:10 am). Then they are escorted by chaperones to the 3rd floor loft for Children's Worship. Afterwards, they are brought back to the sanctuary to rejoin their parents. Pre-K children are escorted up and back from the Nursery by workers and volunteers.
  • What: Teaching, skits, music, and worship
